Japan Travelogue: Togoshi Ginza Shopping Street

Ginza contains an assortment of upscale department stores, boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Several prominent western designer shops such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel line the streets, as well as Sony’s tech hub and the Apple Store. Togoshi Ginza is popular “go-to” spot for local foodies and visitors alike. The Togoshi Ginza neighborhood is only 20 minutes from Ginza and it’s comprised of three shopping streets with a whopping 400 shops. It is considered to be one of the longest shopping streets in Japan attracting thousands of visitors on weekends.

The streets of Togoshi Ginza has the quaint vibe of Tokyo everyday life. Yakitori bars dot the area where locals can kick back and relax. Visitors can join in and hobnob with the folks from the area and experience what everyday life is like. Shop, people watch, have a bite and a drink or two, and enjoy the street scenes.
