Alex from Summer Short 2019

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I love the Yamanashi Trip, because we get to social with our summer-short term friends even better and also learn a lot about Japan.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most productive aspect about this program is being in Japan, and forcing us to use Japanese almost all the time. I don’t thing there is anything least interesting, I was amazed by how MUCH I learned during this summer-short term.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

I find pair work most helpful because we are not really scared of our classmates, so we tend to try and speak something new. And even if we don’t know how to say something, the other person might be able to help us or fix our mistakes.

Overall, I really enjoyed the program! I’m very thankful to have been a part of it, and I’d definitely recommend it to serious students. Thank you so much for the valuable opportunity!
